I find they have very negative outlook on life where as people with depression get better

Causing there own unhappiness themselves not wanting to change for the better

And why can't people with schizophernia find happiness like people with depression it seems odd to me and sometimes I think it's fact there causing own happiness themseleves

Taking drugs for schizophernia doesn't cure it so what's the point in taking medicine the person dies from it evenly cause it a severe mental health disorder which relates to other health issues professionals have said so might live longer being without medication saying that

I actually had a relationship with a lady who had Bipolar and if it wasn’t for my intervention she would probably not be here now as she was constantly angry, anxious and aggressive all the time and it was then when I insisted she had a blood pressure test (she agreed simply because she wanted to pacify me) and not because she understood that high blood pressure causes premature death. I know this as a funeral director. The results came back positive and her blood pressure was through the roof. We agreed amicably to separate as i could only ever see one inevitable outcome. I knew in my heart of hearts their was nothing i could do to help her control her uncontrollable anxieties over (not trivial matters) but non existent matters, matters that had not even or most certainly never happen. She describes herself as a ‘worrier’ even about things she has nothing to worry about as they have not or never likely to materialise (and even if they did they would be nothing more than inn material. The problem with bipolar is the lack of communication and the desire to get help and most importantly the courage to acknowledge the illness

The meds just numb your brain so you go from a roller coaster of two physical extremes to just one really sad one. I personally just take something for the anxiety now cause I'd rather live life with feelings then to have none at all.

My son David is healing and recovering from the corruption of Alberta mental health . David deserves to have a bright future . David spoke on behalf of recovery Lethbridge for bridge city news which is on you tube . I believe his story will be heard and true hope will heal his brain from the damage induced by poisonous drug meds . David suffered from side effects for 28 years of his life under the corrupt system . David has never smoked or drank or used narcotics before in his life but had to endure what he had to endure ? Is that fair ? He is not disabled and far from it . He is not his labels nor is his labels his identity. God has created David with gifts and talents and abilities. I’ve been through a NAMI class, am 12 classes away from my PhD, in Developmental Psychology, and believe my Princess has Undifferentiated Schizophrenia. This whole ad strikes me as dangerous. I've tried this route and can honestly say after the one year I went off meds and tried the same kind of therapy it put me in the mental hospital with one of the worst experiences of my life. Find someone who cares about you not your wallet, and stuff like this that isn't well tested is just not safe. Look at long term well people with BP. They all have their own meds. From my experience nothing works, their is no cure. Dont waste your money. Just ride it out. trying not to mess up your life too bad. So many time i have had to rebuild from the ash of my last episode.

Thank you for sharing your experiences. My girlfriend with whom I was for almost 6 years suffered a lot with this. She went to a psychiatrist and attended psychotherapy regularly, but she was diagnosed with only having depression and got SNRIs, first 3 months with a 50mg dose... this did not work 100% so eventually the psychiatrist upped the dose to 150mg, after this she told me she understood now how people say that life is beautiful. But almost after 1 year on SNRIs it was as if she exploded into a severe depression after a unfortunate trigger that made her end her life. And it was at this moment a doctor wrote on her death certificate that it looked like a bipolar disorder and now reading and getting knowledge about it I can confirm it looked like a type II disorder. So if you know someone with a bipolar disorder, give them love, help them even tho if they do not want it. They may not want the help when they are in their lowest point and not seeing any way out of it. But I promise, there are people that care so very much and would be devastated by a loss of a beautiful and unique person that has so many fantastic qualities and means so much for their friends and families.

Honestly, I don't think this is a case of bipolar disorder. If anything, he went into mania due to the sertraline, and that precludes him from being diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Awareness and understanding is extremely important for society. Unfortunately however this illness still becomes your name, your identity for the most part.

Bipolar is like being in house of glass alone where u can see and hear people behind the glass but they do the opposite that they don,t hear or see and then you keep shouting without reply then you start talking to your self and make your own world and mania pumps in and anxiety accure and depression so the suffering begins but never end .

When I get stressed I think about killing myself and sometimes a few others. I'm currently taking 4 medications and I just got started with the va. I'm not going to do anything crazy but some days I just want it all to end. Both good and bad!

This hits me hard. My life has been destroyed because of being bipolar. My family has stopped talking to me, and I'm holding on because of my son. Life just don't seem worth it sometimes.
